Overview

Expense Works is a SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web part designed to streamline the process of

submitting, reviewing, approving, and processing associate's reimbursement claims. This system

ensures faster decision-making, transparency, and compliance with organizational policies while

reducing manual paperwork and errors.

Integration Highlights

  • SharePoint List Integration: All data is stored in SharePoint lists allowing for secure, centralized management with version history.
  • Excel Integration: Import/export reports using XLSX templates.
  • Outlook Integration: To notify about claim requests for approvals and for payments processed.

Installation and Configuration

  • Requires SharePoint Online and admin access for deployment and setup.
  • Install via SharePoint's “Add an App” feature and activate in Site Contents.
  • Configure permissions—Site Owner rights are required for installation and configuration, but both owners and members can access the time.
  • Add the web part to any SharePoint page, complete the setup, and start managing support requests immediately.
