Project Works is a modern single-page application designed for seamless use in both

SharePoint and Microsoft Teams (as a tab in standard channel). It integrates Microsoft Planner and SharePoint to deliver a unified platform for

managing projects, tasks, time tracking, and team collaboration—all within your Microsoft 365 environment.

• Interactive Gantt Charts: Visualize project timelines and task dependencies using interactive Gantt charts,

  directly connected to Microsoft Planner plans for real-time synchronization.

• Planner Integration: Access and manage Planner boards within the app. Create, update, and track tasks while

  maintaining context within SharePoint or Teams.

• Time Tracking: Log and monitor hours spent on tasks and projects. Includes approval workflows and

  exportable reports for productivity analysis.

Installation and Configuration

• Requires SharePoint Online and admin access for deployment and configuration.
• Works with the modern team site. Doesn't work with the classic team and communication site.
• Install via SharePoint’s "Add an App" feature and verify activation in Site Contents.
• Configure permissions—Site Owner permissions are required to install and configure, but both owners and members

  can access the web part.

• Add the web part to any SharePoint page, complete setup, and publish the page to start managing tasks and

  projects.

Modules Overview

• Gantt Charts: Visual timeline of tasks and buckets, with support for day/week views, filters, manual sync,

  Excel import/export, and appearance settings.

• Planners: Full Microsoft Planner board experience within the app.
• Manage Hours: Log, view, edit, and export hours. Owners can approve or reject hours with comments.
• Reporting: Visual and tabular reports on project progress, planned and actual hours, and plan breakdowns.

• Settings: Owners can configure hour tracking, page appearance, navigation, and module visibility.
