Pro TCF Application as a Service

Pro TCF - A solution developed by Protiviti on the Microsoft platform for the end-to-end digitization of Tax Control Framework monitoring activities (tax risk management and control system).

In an increasingly digital context, it is pivotal for fiscal functions to have IT-enabled solutions to support their tax compliance processes as well as tax risk monitoring activities.

To bolster the digital transformation of the tax functions, Protiviti has taken advantage of Microsoft Power Platform to develop a solution aimed at supporting tax risk management and control activities (i.e., "Tax Control Framework").

The designed application includes specific features that can be adapted and tailored to customers’ needs. Leveraging the wide array of available functionalities, Pro TCF users can benefit from:

- Time savings thanks to the reduction of manual tasks and effort required for results sharing.

- Streamlined information flows with other departments of the organization involved in TCF management, thanks to dedicated automated workflows.

- Automation of qualitative-quantitative calculations and analysis with a greater level of assurance of computed results and minimization of the error risk.

- Integration options available to enable the automatic feeding of TCF with accounting and financial data collected from company systems.

- Structured repository and version history management for RCMs, Risk Assessment, and other information managed within the solution.

Protiviti’s solution is built on 4 main modules:

- Tax Risk Data Management: data-entry and data-import module for all information and inputs required for the proper functioning of other Pro TCF modules (Legal Entities, Tax Risks, Controls, Accounting Data).

- Tax Risk Assessment: dedicated to risk evaluations, based on methodologies and calculation rules that consider both quantitative and qualitative drivers.

- Attestation: focused on managing risk and control validation process, through the communication and the attestation flows towards the different corporate functions, based on a modular and configurable workflow.

- Monitoring: functionalities for managing ongoing testing and monitoring activities on the entire risks and controls framework, and related action plans, with embedded operational and analytical reporting.

Besides offering configurable modules that can be customized to meet the Client's organizational and methodological needs, Pro TCF is designed to be adaptable and scalable to other areas (e.g., Anti-Corruption, Internal Control over Financial Reporting), to enable integrated risk and compliance management across the organization.

The technological solution is developed by leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform and, in particular Microsoft Power Pages.
