Out of the box

Augmenter doesn’t change the standard experience of Microsoft Viva. It guides the administrators and editors to follow best practices and enable them to maintain a coherent intranet.

Augmenter can be removed, and the Microsoft Viva intranet will still operate as it should.

Helping administrators

Build an information architecture collecting the existing sites used by your organization via Yammer and Teams and compile a complete intranet using them. Make sure the look and feel, navigation and templates are provisioned everywhere. Use the validate function to make sure all settings are configured according to best practices. Hubs, official news sources and other features are now accessible.

Helping editors
The target audience is having a conversation in a digital channel somewhere, this channel has a connected SharePoint site that is most likely also their landing page. Augmenter provides an editorial pipeline connecting all those sites and makes it easy to create news for the select audience while making sure it gets tagged correctly, shared to Yammer and commented in Yammer. In this editorial pipeline the editor also can follow up on statistics.
