To find the perfect shoe size, the Berlin-based startup Footprint developed a solution: it supports users in quickly finding perfectly fitting shoes from their home - at any time. The software enables users to measure length and width of their feet with their smartphone. These individual foot measurements are matched with the inner shoe measurements, which are stored in a unique database. Thus, the perfect match between feet and shoe size is found.

The shoe size recommendations will reduce size and fit related returns significantly. Thus retailers will harvest substantial saving potentials in return costs. As Footprint is reducing packaging waste and CO2-Emissions, the solution also contributes to a more sustainable shoe commerce.

By leveraging latest computer vision and AI algorithms on cloud servers, Footprint delivers an accurate and reliable service. And all this in a well guided process and state of the art UX. Furthermore, the shoe fitting know-how of shoe manufacturers into online sales processes is digitized and scaled.
