Construction Materials Specifications Assistant
by Architex Software
Just a moment, logging you in...
Review and summarize commercial masonry specs documents and prepare for the Submission document
Picture this: You have been awarded a job, subcontract has been received and you just signed back. Congratulations!
Now, GC has asked for the Submission. Party time.
Specs Assistant will save you many hours that you normally spend in these tasks:
Once all the Product Information Sheets and the Cover Page are in place, you can either download a single PDF file or separate documents for you to assemble by hand. Your choice.
- Re-review the bid documents in order to extract the details for the materials you will be using, and then build a simple, clean list of materials including (if available) product #, variations etc.
- Work with you on this list, removing unnecessary elements and adding or clarifying others as needed.
- Store a copy of the Product Information Sheets for the selected products in a single folder for you to review and approve
- Write the Index page in PDF format with the detailed list of products, grouped by Division, Section and Product Type.
By design, Specs Assistant does not have direct access to the Internet. It will only work with the documents found in the Libraries you have given it access to. If some information is not available, you must download it by hand and allow Specs Assistant to review and index it before moving forward. Currently, Specs Assistant works with specific divisions: all of Division 4 and certain sections of Divisions 7 and 9 that relate to Masonry.
How does it work?
After selecting and activating your license, Specs Assistant will ask for the SharePoint libraries it will be reviewing and will ask for permission to read it. If your files aren’t in SharePoint yet, our consultants can help you get them there, all neat and organized.
Once that’s set up, just upload your commercial masonry specification document on the chat window. Specs Assistant will analyze it and provide a detailed summary of all specified materials, cutting out any unnecessary information.
Since you talk to Specs Assistant via Microsoft Teams, you can reach it from almost anywhere, even from your mobile device.
Specs Assistant can also help solve simple questions related to the materials that arise at the jobsite, so a Superintendent can quickly obtain pertaining information without having to contact a Project Manager first. It is even bilingual, which can come in handy at the job site
Specs Assistant is your go-to solution for preparing Submittal documents. Contact us now and transform
how you handle masonry specifications. Say goodbye to tedious and expensive document
reviews, and hello to efficiency and precision!
