Usability
Write-Back enables you to handle the entire process through a user-friendly interface, from setup and data submission to configuring datasets. This makes it accessible for both report creators and report consumers with the appropriate Power BI permissions.

- No-Code solution. Easily implement actionable use cases without the need for development teams, saving time and resources.
- Its intuitive UI allows flexibility according to your use cases, such as submitting data via forms, tables, or data grids, making it seamless and agile for all types of users within Power BI's licensing framework.
- Additionally, it is also possible to upload data from an Excel file directly to a data set, making the bulk insert process much easier. Simply download a template, fill it in and upload your data.
- Add, edit and delete data entries from the UI. All database management actions are handled automatically by Write-Back.
- The original data is never affected because Write-Back uses a different database to store its data.

Governance
Since Write-Back runs on a separate service we need to ensure that security is also applied here. Write-Back for Power BI uses Microsoft Entra OAuth as the authentication method to let your users log in. It also provides an authorization mechanism that lets you define which role users will have when interacting with Write-Back. It is also possible to restrict certain specific actions to specific users. This allows for easier governance over what your users can perform on your Write-Back datasets.

Administration & Embedding
Write-Back has a tool dedicated to the configuration and management of Write-Back.

- You can easily manage some technical settings, including database connections.
- An authorization mechanism is available so you can manage who does what.
- There is also a theming mechanism so you can adjust Write-Back look regarding colors.

Audit Tracking
Any action on Write-Back regarding data or configuration is audited, so you can always keep track of who did what and when.
