Number lines (BI-Champ Suite)

Number lines let you depict numbers (or number ranges) with associated narrative. This can be an effective way to tell a story that involves progress to goal, relative values, explanation of values, and much more. This is extremely well-suited to building compelling infographics, and serves well as a gauge.

There are a wide variety of formatting options, including:

• Can show discrete values or group values by tens, hundreds, thousands, etc. (user-defined or automatic)
• Optionally specify end values, thereby showing number ranges
• Locale/language sensitive formatting
• Option to use exponential/log scale
• Control over precision, currency and optional units
• Control colors through settings or data
• Categorization of values
• Option to show one number-line per category (10+ settings support this)
• Option to show horizontally or vertically
• Interactive filtering
• Display images alongside values
• Format settings such as how to delimit grouped values
• Many other size, shape, and layout settings (70+ settings available!)
• Some format settings can come from data such that complex per-marker formatting can be applied ("format expressions" - see documentation at https://bizintelligencechampions.com/help)
