Smarter Timesheet

Overview

Smarter Timesheet is a SharePoint-native time tracking solution. Install the app, add the web part to any page, and the required lists (Projects, TimeEntries, WorkingProfiles, Settings) are auto-provisioned. No external database or service is required—your data stays in your SharePoint site.

Getting started

1. Add the app to your site and place the Smarter Timesheet web part on a page.
2. Open the page—auto-provisioning will create the lists. A short “Provisioning…” message appears during setup.
3. Use Admin Settings (Owners group) to adjust work days, weekly hours, and behavior.
4. Click Add Entry to record time. Need a new project? Use “+ New Project” in the project picker to create it inline.

Requirements

• SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365).
• Permission model relies on site Associated Owners and Associated Members.

Data & privacy

All data is stored in SharePoint lists within your tenant. No third-party data storage.
