AI struggles with scale. Issues like hallucination, prompt tuning, and context drift don’t just persist—they multiply when applied to thousands of rows of data. This puts users in a bind: either spend hours checking outputs line by line, or accept results they can’t fully trust.

Behind even the clearest insights lie assumptions and uncertainty. When those underlying choices are handled by AI, it becomes nearly impossible for teams to trace how the conclusions were reached or to challenge them when needed.

Altavize uses structured pre- and post-processing on all AI requests. Our most-popular tools provide confidence scoring, while others focus on unlocking entirely new forms of data analysis. It all runs directly inside Microsoft Excel, allowing users to work directly with their data and reach insights without leaving their existing workflow.

Each tool pulls data directly from Excel and combines it with a simple set of user-provided instructions. We currently use OpenAI’s suite of models to power the analysis. Users can either connect their own API key or use tokens purchased though us, without markup. Results are then returned directly to Excel, allowing users to continue working with the output using familiar analytical methods.

Altavize is built for professionals who regularly work with unstructured or text-based data in Excel and want to shift their focus from low-value processing to high-value analysis. Our users span industries such as consulting, banking, private equity, law, marketing, healthcare, and the social sciences, anywhere repetitive text work slows down deeper analysis.

Altavize was founded by a former Bain & Company consultant who experienced firsthand how slow, manual text work in Excel could stall decision-making. Frustrated by the limitations of existing AI tools, they set out to build something more reliable, tools that save time, reduce friction, and meet the demands of high-stakes work.
