Azure/Entra Blob Storage is a powerful feature that allows organizations to store data without using their Office 365 allocated data storage. This application allows you to move data from SharePoint and File Explorer to Hot or Cold Blob storage.

If you are looking to access Blob Storage from your browser seamlessly and potentially give access to users then this application will make all that possible. The application needs to be configured by an administrator that has access to the storage account that contains the Blob Container. Once that is done, if you so desire you can allow users to use the application or if its solely for admin use that’s fine as well

Features

• Upload files/folders from SharePoint Document Libraries to Blob Storage.

• Upload files/folder from File explorer to Blob Storage

(Note, this is not a mass migration tool, you shouldn’t try to upload more than about 5GB of data at once)

• Download files/folders contained in Blob Storage to a SharePoint Document Library.

• Download files/folder contained in Blob Storage to File explorer.

Application Details:

- This application is a Web Part and Full Page Web Part

- The application requires an active Azure/Entra Storage Account along with an Access key. Both items are required as part of the web part properties

- Within the storage account a container must be created and configured in the web part properties
