LABWORKS eWorksheet Management

The LABWORKS eWorksheet management add-in allows laboratory technicians to upload test results into the LABWORKS eLIMS system using an eWorksheet system object, which is based on an Excel electronic document. This approach allows users to use the full power of Excel to calculate results, and then send them directly to eLIMS through a add-in.

The add-in includes the following features:

• Authorization as a LABWORKS eLIMS user.
• Editing eWorksheet details (name, description) directly through the add-in.
• Configuration of the required data set (samples and analyses) for filling out Excel sheets.
• Ability to search for data through the use of contextual filters and sorting.
• Ability to quickly fill out Excel sheets using the Assign sample operation on the add-in.
• Loading raw result data from a local file using any NGII configured for the eLIMS system.
• Saving eWorksheets to eLIMS.
• Posting (importing) results into eLIMS. Ability to view import statistics and go to the eLIMS detailed page to view more information on importing results.
• Managing eWorksheet object statuses.
• Ability to download an Excel document to your local machine.
• View changes to an excel document on a separate AUDIT sheet.

What the eLIMS system administrator needs to do to work with the add-in:

• Set up eLIMS integration with data storage: WebDav or SharePoint.
• Configure the template for the eWorksheet object.
