The PLEXOS Cloud Excel Add-In allows users to create Excel workbooks that synchronize with models published in PLEXOS Cloud to easily edit input database properties and datafiles, launch PLEXOS simulations, and download and analyze solutions.

Users can create Excel workbooks for streamlining routine PLEXOS model editing or maintenance tasks, or synchronize PLEXOS model data to Excel calculations or external business data. Users can review and analyze PLEXOS model outputs easily using Excel’s built-in analytics tools, or create more advanced workbooks that enable end-to-end PLEXOS analysis workflows within an Excel workbook application.

Features

View and Edit Model Input Properties and Datafiles

• Create queries to load PLEXOS model input and simulation properties or datafiles into Excel worksheets from a Study hosted on PLEXOS Cloud.
• Easily navigate and browse the available PLEXOS model input data and simulation properties and select the properties to synchronize in the workbook.
• Load and refresh to get the current model data from the latest Study version published on PLEXOS Cloud.
• Edit values within the Excel worksheet manually or link data with other worksheets and Excel calculations.
• Save updated model input data and datafile values in the PLEXOS Cloud.

Launch Simulations

• Launch PLEXOS Simulations in PLEXOS Cloud from Excel.

Analyze Model Solutions

• Create queries to import solution data from completed PLEXOS simulations into a destination worksheet.
• Create reports using analysis tools, such as formulas, charts, and PivotTables to generate insights, which can be refreshed when models are updated and simulations are run again.
