AVD Help Assist is a lightweight desktop application designed for IT administrators and helpdesk teams managing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.

It enables fast, secure, and agentless management of active user sessions — including shadowing (remote control), messaging, and session termination — all without deploying software on host machines.

Requirements

• Domain-joined PC with network access to AVD hosts (VPN is supported)

• Logged-in user must be a local administrator on session hosts

• Azure App Registration with:

  • Desktop Virtualization Reader role

  • Microsoft Graph permissions: Directory.Read.All, User.Read.All

• Startup password must be set during the first launch of the application
