Kanban Task Manager

Kanban Task Manager gives a client-side web part that displays tasks in a SharePoint Tasks list as color-coded cards. This reveals bottlenecks and blockers and shows how projects progress.

• In the Kanban view, the task cards are grouped by status phases and in lanes. The lanes can be used for any parameter.
• In the 7 Habits view the task cards are grouped in four quadrants by importance and urgency in an Eisenhower matrix style.

The task cards can be dragged and dropped between phases,

lanes and quadrants. New tasks can be created directly from Kanban Task Manager.

"Kanban" refers to a way of visualizing work, to make it flow and reduce waste of time. By adding the kanban board to SharePoint, we can add many useful features:

• Tasks for multiple projects can be displayed in the same view.
• Filter tasks by priority, project and responsible and, if enabled, also by a custom field.
• Search of both subjects and body texts of the tasks.
• Switch Tasks list to be displayed in Kanban Task Manager.
• Create task checklists.
• Graphic indicators on the task cards: high and low priority, assigned, overdue and % completed.
• Time logging for each task.
• Create a custom parameter that is added to tasks, filters and views.
• Grid view with all information about all tasks.
• Set WIP limits for phases and lanes, to give

  a warning when the predefined number of tasks is exceeded.

• Set number of columns for each phase, to optimize the use of screen space.
