🚀 Getting Started with Nalvin in Microsoft Teams
Nalvin is your AI agent for product teams. It captures customer insights and automates release notes, product updates, and stand-ups—right inside Teams.
1. Prerequisites
Before using Nalvin, make sure you have:
- ✅ An active Version Lens account
- ✅ Admin approval to install third-party apps in Microsoft Teams
👉 Sign up for an account or Contact us if you don't have access yet.
2. Install Nalvin
- Open Microsoft Teams.
- Go to Apps in the sidebar.
- Search for Nalvin.
- Click Add to install.
Once installed, Nalvin will appear in your sidebar and can also be added to channels and teams.
3. Sign In
- Launch Nalvin in Teams.
- Select Sign in.
- Use your work email connected to Version Lens.
- Grant the requested permissions.
4. How to Use Nalvin
Nalvin works in two ways:
Direct Message (DM)
Chat privately with Nalvin to capture insights or generate release notes.
Example: "Summarize today's customer calls."
Channels & Teams
Add Nalvin to a channel where your team collaborates.
Work together on feedback, updates, and stand-ups directly in shared spaces.
Important: Nalvin must be invited to a channel in order to send scheduled reports and insights (e.g., weekly stand-ups, release updates).
5. First Things to Try
- "Summarize today's customer calls" → Generates a digest of insights.
- "Draft release notes for this sprint" → Produces ready-to-review notes.
- "Run today's stand-up" → Posts a stand-up summary with blockers and progress.
- "What product updates are pending?" → Surfaces upcoming updates.
6. Key Features in Teams
- 💬 Conversation insights – Nalvin highlights product feedback in DMs or channels.
- 📢 Release notes & updates – Drafts product updates and communications.
- 📊 Stand-ups – Automates daily or weekly stand-up summaries.
- 🔔 Reports & notifications – Scheduled reports and proactive insights (when Nalvin is added to a channel).
7. Help & Resources
✨ Tip: Start by DM'ing Nalvin to test features, then add it to your product team's main channel so everyone benefits from scheduled updates and shared insights.
