Traceability enhances supply chain visibility, enabling tracking, verification, and compliance.
Accurate Tracking - Traceability enables customers to track and document the chain of custody against individual identifier – serial number and batch number and lot number and asset number, across the entire value chain, and throughout the full lifecycle of the item.
As-built BOM registration - Traceability enables customers to document the composition genealogy information (as-built BOM) and activity events - such as procurement, production, and distribution, against the serial and batch number. Customers can trace back to understanding the origin of single parts.
Forward and Backward search - Customers can track the consumption of composition throughout the entire value chain and find out the finished or semi-finished goods which may be impacted by defect component according to where-used function of Traceability.
Flexible Data collection customization - Traceability provides flexibility to be configured to be agnostic to the customer’s requirements to collect record data, documentation and other artifacts (e.g. quality records, certificates, measurement point) against serial and batch number. These information can be searched and retrieved by customers in Supply Chain Traceability.
Simplified Integration – Traceability offers Out-of-the-Box (OOB) integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 SCM modules. For example, working with “Tracked Component of manufacturing”, the as-built BOM association data can be registered to Traceability with plug-and-play solution. On the other hand, Traceability provides robust API for integration. While this may require some initial setup and configuration, it offers a high degree of flexibility and customization to cater to customer specific business needs and ensuring a smooth integration process with other systems.
