CF BC RBSI EFT

Corefocus’s RBSI EFT Extension for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will help you quickly and efficiently set up EFT export files with all your purchase ledger payments ready for import using RBSI’s EQ banking platform. 

The Royal Bank of Scotland International (RBSI) uses a text-based import file format which will not be found as part of the Business Central default package.  Configuring Business Central to make these EFT files, or any export file, is not a simple task; and you may need a partner or developer to create an extension of this nature for you.  

This extension has all the necessary formatting already built-in.  All that needs to be done once installed is enter the source bank account in the extensions settings and your users will be ready to make payments to an RBSI bank in less then a few minutes.

EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) – also known as BACS, FasterPay in the UK is a digital way of sending payments to your suppliers.  Save time and significant costs by eliminating cheques and postage costs by sending payments in this way.  

When your accounts payable department is ready to pay their invoices, they produce a Payment Journal with all the transactions in one batch.  Before the batch is posted, simply press the EFT button in the journal and the extension cycles through all the payments collecting bank details from the vendor cards.  An EFT file is then produced and opens in a text file ready to import into RBSI’s EQ banking platform.

The file is then uploaded as an “Adhoc Bulk upload” into EQ where the payments are processed and verified by the bank.  The balance in the BC batch can then be reconciled against the balance in EQ to ensure all payments have been imported correctly.  Once payments have been sent to EQ, account payable transaction can be posted in BC.
