Windows 365 Enterprise is a cloud-based service that automatically creates a new type of Windows virtual machine (Cloud PCs) for your end users. It provides the productivity, security, and collaboration benefits of Microsoft 365. Windows 365 Enterprise uses:

Intune to manage the Cloud PCs. Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for identity and access control. Azure Virtual Desktop for remote connectivity.

To unlock new scenarios for customers, Microsoft announced a new category of hybrid personal computing that delivers Windows 10, and Windows 11, from the Microsoft cloud with the Cloud PC. Windows has been the heart of Microsoft for decades as the most fundamental and the most innovative platform for work, learning, creativity, and development.

To deliver on that promise, Cloud PCs offer a unique set of capabilities different from what is available today.   Cloud PC is your personalized desktop, apps, settings, and content streamed securely from the Microsoft cloud to any of your devices.

They deliver a distinctive interaction between the Microsoft cloud and the end-user experience on the device, providing: Persistent integration between the cloud and PC operating system for a fluid and consistent experience Unified security and identity management from the cloud to the device, even on a personal device Seamless compute and storage hand-offs that can rapidly scale to meet your needs.

Scope:

1. License: Checking to see if users have the right licenses and assignment of licenses.
2. Azure Subscription: Setting up Azure Subscription and Azure Virtual Network for HAADJ and AADJ + Azure Virtual Network Scenarios. AADJ + Hosted Network setup where applicable.
3. Network: Azure Virtual Network with line of sight to Domain Controller (only for HAADJ or direct connection to customer resources)
4. Machine Identity: Setting up HAADJ or AADJ for different scenarios
5. User Identity: Setting up Hybrid users (AD + AAD) or AAD users
6. Image: Setting up gallery or custom images
7. Management: Full management of Cloud PCs through Microsoft Intune
8. Admin Permissions: Setting up right admin permissions as below • Microsoft 365: Intune Service Admin (standard MEM RBAC after provisioning) • Azure: Subscription Owner (setup network connection)
