Set up for Power Platform Governance with Accigo's DLP introduction and initial setup.
Do you think about enabling your organization with Power Platform? We do as well!
Many organizations find themselves in a situation where they feel like that it is challenging to manage and govern all their internal tools and systems - even with traditional systems. Power Platform is not a traditional platform and the way that organizational governance and control been implemented previously might not be feasible. For example, when it comes to Power Platform, anyone in the organization can use it if no initial configuration is done (the Default Environment is open by nature) and any internal information could easily be exposed or shared undesirably by mistake. Small efforts can easily prevent this and the implementation of such actions is drafted in this offer.
Furthermore, many organizations are thrilled by the potential within the platform but at the same time do not want to let it run totally free without being comfortable with the direction of where it leads. One organizational condition recognized by Microsoft where organizations sometimes find themselves in is where "It feels like the platform is running a little bit out of control". This offering focuses on this topic and what tools and strategies are available to find the control and governance desired.
Further questions may arise when an organization are starting to use Power Platform - how can we enable not only professional developers but also business users in our organization to build automations, apps and still maintain the level of control we desire on our platforms? This is one of the topics that are introduced within this course, and it is discussed in relation to potentially existing IT strategy and organizational structure. One central tool provided by Microsoft to tackle discussions regarding control and governance is what is called Data Loss Prevention Policies (DLPs). Connectors used within Power Platform can and likely should be somewhat controlled. In this offering we learn how to configure such policies and the consequences of using them. We also introduce DLPs as a concept within Power Platform and a governance tool and setup the initial DLP for the Default Environment and discuss possible ways going forward. We will understand why it is especially important to control the default environment and why it is explicitly recommended by Microsoft and how you can setup the Power Platform baseline in your organization.
